Product Description
There can be no better introduction to the hobby than one which involves building and flying your own trainer? Few would argue with that although traditional balsa trainer kits are few and far between these days, which is why the DPR Aviator is so welcome. Spanning 1160mm for a 3S powertrain it ticks all the crucial boxes that beginners need to consider, not least ease of construction, ease of transport and forgiving flying characteristics. Sure enough, with a slab-sided fuselage, flat-bottom section and flat tail surfaces the build couldn’t be simpler. Meanwhile, banded wings not only assist storage and transportation, they’re designed to ‘give’ a little when inevitable ‘arrivals’ occur during the training process. Where flying is concerned, we’d like to think of the piloting process as being more akin to gentle control intervention than the constant attention that less suitable training aircraft often require. In this respect the Aviator engenders a relaxed atmosphere to training, one that will see your ability and confidence grow exponentially.
Beautifully presented with high-quality, lightweight, laser-cut balsa and ply parts, a full-size plan, step-by-step instructions and a slot-together assembly technique, an enjoyable build is guaranteed whether you're completely new to the hobby or a wily old hand.
